If this isn’t the cutest little boy you’ve ever seen, he’s definitely in the running. Hornet was rescued last week from SEAACA, an overcrowded, high-kill shelter in LA County. He’s a 5-year-old, 11-lb Shih Tzu with a gentle, easygoing temperament.
He came down with kennel cough (completely treatable) and was at risk of being euthanized. He’s on meds now and already on the road to a full recovery. How a dog this sweet ended up in a shelter-let alone nearly lost his life-is a mystery. Hornet is friendly, gentle, and does well with people and other dogs; he’s in a large playgroup and gets along with
Hornet could thrive in almost any home looking for a low-key companion who doesn’t need tons of exercise. Apartment living? Great.
Only dog or part of a pack? Either works. He greets volunteers, happily soaks up attention without being demanding, and—while he’s still shaking off that cough-he mostly wants a comfy lap and a few tasty treats.
If you can’t adopt Hornet, please share this post so that hopefully someone out there will be able to make a place for him in their family.
